This Sunday we hear that Peter received the “keys of the kingdom.” In our baptism it is as if we too have received keys that open God to us and open ourselves to others. Come to worship; be opened to the word and at the table.
Jesus says: “Take heart, it is I; do not be afraid.” Amid the storms of life, we seek the calm presence of Christ that soothes our fears. God grants us peace and sends us forth to be a sign of God’s presence to others.

Saturday, August 12th 8am-12pm Breakfast & Lunch will be served. Many hands make light work!
The kingdom of heaven is like yeast that a woman took and mixed in with three measures of flour until all of it was leavened.”
The parable we hear this coming Sunday is about a field in which both wheat and weeds are growing—which is a way to describe the church, the world, and even ourselves. Come to worship, so that hearing the word and eating the supper of the Lord can nourish your “wheat” and stifle your “weeds.”
“Come to me, all you that are weary and are carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” Join us for worship. All are welcome.
This coming Sunday is “a cup of cold water” Sunday. Come to worship, to remember the cold water of your baptism and to be strengthened to offer water to a very thirsty world. All are welcome.
Fear not, God cares for you! Join us for worship, all are welcome.
There will be a special blessing for Father's this Sunday.
Jesus calls the twelve apostles and then sends them out to carry on his work of proclaiming the good news and healing the sick. Come to worship so that you can hear this good news! All are welcome.

“O Lord our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!” This Sunday we celebrate the name of God: holy blessed Trinity. There is no other day quite like this one in the church’s year. There is no other god like ours. Praise God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit! All are welcome to worship, 10:30 a.m.
This Sunday we celebrate Pentecost, which is the promise of God's Holy Spirit poured out unto all people. It is also the birthday of the Christian Church. Wear RED to remind us of the fire of the Spirit.
Each year on the first Sunday in Lent we hear about Jesus being tested in the wilderness. In this way Jesus joined with us, who are also, one way or another, tested in some wilderness. We say Sundays “in” Lent, since when counting the forty days of Lent, we omit the six Sundays, because Sunday is always a celebration of Christ’s resurrection. So this Sunday we are both in Lent and beyond Lent. See you at worship, 10:30 a.m. All are welcome.
